More about the resort
Golf Resort Karlštejn is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe and belongs to the most visited resorts in the Czech Republic. In 2019, more than 20,000 players played on the 27-hole course. The first 18 holes, opened in 1993, were designed by well-known Canadian architects Les Furber and Jim Eremke. After three years of construction, the first golfers could enter the new 18-hole course with a unique view of the medieval Karlštejn Castle.

I played here a few days ago and shot 101; hopefully today I got below 100. My favourite is definitely the second hole, where I can drive straight at the green. Two guys in our group reached the green today; I put mine in the water.”

My least favourite is the 17th, with its particularly thick rough. My three playing partners said my last round at Karlštejn was a little lifeless, so I am opening a vote — and my text message is the same as my last score: STAR 99 🙂”

I made birdie on the fifth.” A birdie on the fifth is particularly valuable: typical scores on this hole are double or triple bogey. Petr also made bogey on the fourth, getting through the ‘valley of death’ — holes four and five — in level par. That deserves a round of applause.
